Great Victory For All Indians: Dipika Chikhlia On Ram Temple Bhoomi Pujan

Mumbai: Dipika Chikhlia Topiwala, who played an iconic role of ‘Sita‘ in Ramanand Sagar’s television show ‘Ramayan’, celebrated the ‘Bhoomi Poojan‘ ceremony of Ram temple on Wednesday. She said that ‘it is a victory for all Indians’.

She shared a picture of herself holding a ‘diya‘ (oil lamp) in her hand on Twitter and wrote, “this is a great victory for all Indians..jyot se jyot jalate chalo ram ka naam japte chalo”.

The co-actor of Dipika, Arun Govil who also played a lead role of Lord Ram in ‘Ramayan’ shared his views on twitter.

He wrote in Hindi, “This day will be written in golden letters in history. With the laying of the foundation stone of Shri Ram temple, the dream of the devotees of the whole world is coming true. Warm greetings and best wishes to all of you. Jai Shree Ram.”

Sunil Lahri, who played the role of Lakshman in the same television serial along with Dipika and Arun Govil, also shared a picture of himself and model of Ram temple on Twitter.

He tweeted, “5 August is a historical day, just like 15th August, this day will also be remembered in the history of India. The laying of the foundation of the Ram temple is the solution to a 500-year-old problem. Congratulations to all Indians and best wishes. Jai Siyaram.”


Prime Minister Narendra Modi laid the foundation of the Ram temple on Wednesday. He also performed the rituals of ‘Bhoomi Poojan‘ (groundbreaking ceremony), on Wednesday.

After the ceremony, PM Modi said in a speech that, “Ram is everywhere, Ram belongs to all.” He also said that Ram temple is signified as the rich heritage of our country and an inspiration for all humanity.
