Mumbai: Actor Sonu Sood and celebrity fashion designer Manish Malhotra announced that they both have tested positive for COVID-19 in two different incidents.
Actor Sonu Sood already had tweeted to confirm the news. “Hello friends, I would like to inform you that my test for COVID-19 has come positive.”
“So I’ve quarantined myself. Nothing to worry about, On the contrary, I will now have more time to fix your difficulties than ever before. Remember, any trouble. I’m always with you.”
The Dabangg actor has taken to the social media to express his helplessness and wrote on his official Twitter handle “Since morning I haven’t kept my phone down, thousands of calls from all over India for HOSPITAL BEDS, MEDICINES, INJECTIONS and still not able to provide to many of them, I feel so helpless.The situation is scary, pls stay at home ,wear mask and prevent yourself from infection. Folded hands.”
In the other occasion, celebrity designer Malhotra took to Instagram saying that he has isolated himself and under home quarantine on the advice of his doctor. He also confirmed,
“I have tested positive for COVID 19. I have immediately isolated myself and will be under home quarantine. I am following all safety protocols under the advice of my doctors. Please stay safe & take care.”
According to the Maharashtra government’s health department data, 36,39,855 have tested positive in the state till date. The Cultural hub of Maharashtra,Pune has become the epicenter of COVID-19 in the State. Of the 6.20 lakh active cases in Maharashtra, 1.12 lakh are from Pune alone.
India reported its highest-ever single-day spike in COVID-19 cases with over 2.34 lakh new cases and 1,300 deaths in the past 24 hours.Till today COVID-19 tally in India stood at 1,45,26,609.
