New Delhi: CBI Director Subodh Kumar Jaiswal has asked all the officials of the agency to wear formals on duty, unleashing a warning that casual dressing will not be tolerated.
According to an order issued by the Deputy Director Administration, all male staff have been asked to be dressed in trousers, collared shirts and formal shoes with proper shaving while women staffers should wear suits, saris, formal shirts and trousers.
“No jeans, T-shirts, sports shoes, chappals (slippers) and casual attire are allowed in the office,” the order was quoted as saying by news agency PTI.
The directive was issued following complaints of staff members not being “attired properly” in office.
CBI officials are expected to be in formals, but recently some started wearing casuals to office which hasn’t gone down well with the new director.
