Bangkok: In an unusual incident, a Thai man spotted an injured cockroach on the streets and took it to a veterinary doctor for treatment. Yes, you heard it right.
The injured insect was taken to veterinarian Dr Thanu Limpapattanawanich from Krathum Baen in Thailand last week. The Good Samaritan came to the doctor narrating his story that he witnessed someone accidentally step on the roach on the side of a road and could not leave the bug to die just like that.
The cockroach was taken to the Sai Rak Animal Hospital. “Emergency case last night. Someone stepped on a cockroach lying on the side of the road. Just then, a philanthropist walked past and saw it. So he rushed to take him to the veterinary hospital urgently. Symptoms are now 50/50,” Dr Thanu was quoted as saying on Facebook.
“This is not a joke. This indicates compassion and pity towards every creature. Every life is precious…I wish there were more people like this in the world…Kindness supports the world.
“I allowed the man to bring the cockroach back to take care of it. No treatment fee was charged at all,” the vet added.
It is not clear if the cockroach survived, however, netizens praised the man for his kind gesture, reported Times Now.
