Mumbai: Maharashtra politics was in the limelight with much sought-after election strategist Prashant Kishor met Nationalist Congress Party president Sharad Pawar over lunch here on Friday.
Following lunch, both Pawar and Prashant Kishor, commonly known as ‘PK’ in political circles, didn’t throw light on their meeting, which fuelled further speculation.
Kishor called on Pawar at his residence in Mumbai around 11 am on Friday. They were involved in a meeting for approximately 3 hours, reported news agency IANS.
The meeting sparked speculation whether this could be a preparation for the 2024 General Elections and Maharashtra Assembly elections.
This was the first Kishor met the Maharashtra strongman after his poll strategies cantered in West Bengal and Tamil Nadu for the Trinamool Congress and the DMK respectively.
However, later in the evening, Prashant Kishor called on Bollywood actor Shah Rukh Khan at the latter’s home “Mannat”.
The meeting was described as courtesy call by sources close to Kishor as they have been friends for more than three years. SRK was introduced to Kishor by West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee.
