New Delhi: If you tweet in support of Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, you will get two rupees. Now a controversial audio clip has surfaced on social media.
Yogi’s media team has been involved in the controversy since the audio went viral. As the controversy escalated, the agency in charge of handling Yogi’s publicity fired the man at the helm of their IT cell.
In the audio that went viral, two people were heard discussing among themselves. They were discussing the issue of tweeting in support of Yogi and paying for him. It has been also said in the clip that if you tweet as a yogi, you will get Rs 2.
It has been alleged that the members of the team in charge of promoting Yogi were saying all these things. Former IAS Surya Pratap Singh shared the audio on social media. The publicity agency did not respond to the audio.
However, the company has sacked Manmohan Singh, the head of their IT cell. And after the punishment, Manmohan wrote on social media in a significant way, “My silence is better than a thousand answers. That may cover a lot of questions.”
The BJP and the Yogi have distanced themselves from the controversy. BJP spokesperson Manish Shukla claimed that the matter was an internal matter of a private company. There is no addition of BJP and Yogi. His argument is, company firing an employee is the company’s own business.
Sources claimed that Yogi is a private company that runs campaigns on social media, where Manmohan was an employee. But a few days ago, Manmohan’s company was removed and another company was given the responsibility of propaganda.
The new company is trying to handle the whole thing. That’s when the controversial audio saw the light of the day. Owing to this the head of the IT cell of the old company was dismissed unceremoniously.
