Castel San Giovanni: An 81-year-old man in Italy who was unable to meet his wife due to the pandemic restrictions, decided to play the accordion outside her hospital window.
In the viral video, the man named Stefano Bozzini can be seen playing the accordion while his wife Carla Sacchi (47) and two others watch from a second-floor window of the hospital building in Castel San Giovanni.
He can be heard playing renditions of an English pop singer Engelbert Humperdinck’s song ‘Spanish Eyes‘ and several others.
The hospital where Bozzini’s wife is staying does not treat coronavirus patients, but it is under restrictions to stop the spread of the virus.
Following which, he was unable to visit his wife in her room, but it didn’t stop him from expressing his adoration towards her with this sweet token of love.
The video was shared on Facebook by Valerio Marangon, who is believed to be Carla’s son.
He wrote, “My mother is admitted to the hospital in Castel San Giovanni and as you know, it’s not possible to enter even for a visit (even the closest relatives) but asking some nurses (very kind people) if it was possible to spend 5-10 minutes in an outer courtyard of the hospital to play 2-3 songs to my mum, who looked out the window to make her happy for 5 minutes.”
