Mumbai: Having worked as a radio jockey, YouTuber, host and an actor, Sahil Khattar has explored different mediums. And, he relates to each of them.
“The more you hunt, the more experience you gain. But over the years, I have realised that the digital appeals to me the most, which is why I’ll never leave that space and will continue making content for my channels Khattarnaak and BeingIndian. I also like doing the WWE series on TV, enjoyed hosting Dance India Dance and anchoring cricket shows. I also learnt a lot during my stint as a radio jockey with Red FM,” he says.
“Shooting for the film, ‘83 was a learning curve and it was fun. So, if you can work on various mediums, why restrict yourself?” asks Sahil, who portrays World Cup-winning former Indian wicket-keeper Syed Kirmani in ’83 that is slated to release this Christmas. The Kabir Khan-directorial headlined by Ranveer Singh, traces the journey of India’s maiden cricket World Cup triumph in 1983.
Sahil considers every new project in his career as a new landmark. But if he has to choose then he feels that forming BeingIndian and then being part of ’83 are the two biggest success stories in his professional life so far.
“BeingIndian changed me both as a person and a content creator. It changed people’s outlook towards me. They started noticing my talent as an anchor and a performer and discovered my funny side. ’83, on the other hand, will make people realise that I can act too. Now 200 is generating good response,” Sahil signs off.
