Kolkata: Bengali actor Aindrila Sharma, 24, passed away after a long-suffering at a private hospital in Howrah on Sunday. She was under treatment after multiple cardiac arrests earlier this week.
Aindrila was rushed to a private hospital after a brain stroke on November 1. She suffered an intracranial haemorrhage and underwent surgery on left frontotemporoparietal de-compressive craniotomy.
The actor, unfortunately, suffered multiple heart attacks on November 14, and subsequently, her health condition deteriorated. Aindrila passed away at 11.59 am on Sunday.
It may be recalled that Aindrila’s boyfriend Sabyasachi Chowdhury requested her well-wishers to pray for the actor via multiple posts on social media.
“I never thought that I would write this here. However, today is the day. Pray for Aindrila. Pray for a miracle. Pray for the supernatural. She is fighting against all odds, beyond human,” Sabyasachi wrote on Facebook.
Aindrila, born and brought up in Berhampore in West Bengal, was a cancer survivor. The actor debuted on the small screen with Jhumur and then played several roles in shows like Mahapeeth Tarapeeth, Jiyon Kathi and Jibon Jyoti. She also acted in films like ‘Ami Didi No 1’ and ‘Love Café’.
