New Delhi: Mobile service provider Vodafone Idea declared that it would hike tariffs for its prepaid users by around 20 per cent, on Tuesday.
The new tariffs will be effective from November 25, said the telecom operator.
This announcement by Vodafone Idea comes soon after Bharti Airtel’s hike in tariffs for its prepaid customers by around 20 per cent. Airtel’s revised tariff would come into effect from November 26.

“The new plans will start the process of ARPU (Average Revenue Per Unit) improvement and help address the financial stress faced by the industry,” Vodafone Idea was quoted as saying by news agency IANS.
Vodafone Idea is a partnership between Aditya Birla and Vodafone Group, and is one of the major operators in India.
