Kolkata: Like every year, this year too, the Alambazar Mahabharat Balak Sangha stood by the needy people on the occasion of Kali Puja.
Alambazar Mahabharat Balak Sangha distributed 2,000 blankets to the underprivileged people of the area on Thursday, November 4. At the same time, ten students were given 10 thousand rupees assistance. Besides, 50 sewing machines, 30 rickshaws and 30 vans were also distributed.
The officials of this club in Baranagar do various social service works throughout the year.
Rajesh Tripathi, Commandant of 118 Battalion BSF, Pramod Kumar, Second in Commandant and Ranbir Singh, Deputy Commandant were present as special guests on the occasion.
Also present were local MLA Tapas Roy, Parliamentarian Saugata Roy and club president Ajay Gupta. The guests appreciated the efforts of the club.
