New Delhi: The farmers’ protest at several Delhi borders entered its twelfth day on Monday. Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal today visited the Singhu border where thousands of farmers are protesting against the Centre’s new farm laws.

Thousand of Kisans are protesting at several borders areas near the national capital demanding rollback of Farmer’s Produce Trade and Commerce(Promotion and Facilitation) Bill, 2020, The Farmer (Empowerment and Protection) Agreement of Price and Agreement of Price Assurance and Farm Services Bill, 2020 and The Essential Commodities (Amendment) Bill, 2020. The agitating ‘Kisans’ who have held five round of ‘inconclusive’ talks with the Government also want the rollback of the proposed Electricity (Amendment) Bill 2020.

Kejriwal visited Singhu border and assured the protesting farmers of his government and party’s support.

He claimed that the Centre had pressurised his government to approve Delhi Police’s request to turn city’s nine stadiums as temporary jails to house protesting farmers’.

“My government and party support all demands of farmers. Their issue and demands are valid. AAP ahs stood with them from the very beginning. At the beginning of their protests,” the Delhi CM said.
