New Delhi: During Aryan Khan’s ordeal over drugs-related charges, his father superstar Shah Rukh Khan received support from many in the film fraternity and from the ruling Shiv Sena and Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) in Maharashtra.

Eve, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi wrote to Shah Rukh Khan during the Khans’ harrowing time, it is learnt.

Rahul Gandhi wrote to the Bollywood Badsha on October 14 — six days after Aryan Khan was put behind Mumbai’s Arthur Road prison.

In the letter, the Congress leader apparently assured Shah Rukh Khan that “the country is with you,” NDTV sources said.

Aryan Khan finally got bail by the Bombay High Court on October 28 and he was released last Saturday.
