Sydney: Indian cricket team’s star all-rounder Hardik Pandya scored a match-winning 22-ball 44 after a solid 56-run opening stand from KL Rahul (30) and veteran Shikhar Dhawan (52) to help India beat Australia by six wickets at the Sydney Cricket Ground in Sydney.

Pandya seized the winning six with 2 balls remaining of the last over.

Sensational young speedster T Natarajan was India’s pick of bowlers. The Tamil Nadu-born picked 2 wickets for just 20 runs in his 4 overs.

After winning the first match in Canberra, Virat Kohli won the toss and decided to bowl first. Australia had set a target of 195 runs to win in front of India.

Chasing a mammoth 195-run target set by Australia, team India’s fiery wicket-keeper batsman KL Rahul (30) and veteran Shikhar Dhawan (52) stitched a solid 56-run opening stand to help their team get a dreamy start and get some good runs inside the powerplay.

Scoreboard: 195/4 (Dhawan 52, Pandya 42*, Kohli 40) beat Australia 5 for 194 (Wade 58, Natarajan 2-20) by six wickets.
