Kolkata: Tollywood superstar Prosenjit is all set to return to Bollywood with Vikramaditya Motwane’s magnum opus show Stardust – a much-awaited project that is to be released on Amazon Prime Video and also stars Aditi Rao Hydari and Wamiqa Gabbi. Stardust marks Prosenjit’s comeback to the national screen after Shanghai (2012).
Though the shoot of the show had initially begun already, it had to, unfortunately, be put to a halt just like many others in Maharashtra because of the widespread second covid-19 wave that hit the nation.
Now the buzz is that the shoot has resumed with Aditi and Wamiqa. The show is inspired by true incidents from rivalry to the working culture of the film industry. But it will be a fictional take on Bollywood from the ’40s era to the next 40 years. Currently, it is being planned as eight to nine episodes for season one.
Our sources tell us, “The makers of Stardust had shot for two days earlier but had to halt the shoot to take necessary precautions against covid-19’s second wave. It was during that time when all shoots had to be halted across the state. Aditi and Wamiqa began the shooting in Mumbai and the crew looked excited getting back on sets. Prosenjit will be joining the cast soon.”
