Raipur: If you thought that the Congress High Command like in Punjab, would succumb to the wishes of people with high aspirations in Chhattisgarh too, you didn’t quite read the writings on the wall.
The tussle over the CM’s chair between incumbent Bhupesh Baghel and his health minister TS Singh Deo seems to have been nipped in the bud if state home minister Tamradhwaj Sahu’s version is to go by. According to him as NDTV quotes him, Baghel would continue to be the CM.
“We believe those who become chief minister, they continue to hold the post. According to circumstances, sometimes they are shifted in just two-four months while sometimes they last for 15-20 years. As of now Bhupesh Baghel is the chief minister and he will continue (on the post),” Sahu told the media at Gaurella-Pendra-Marwahi (GPM) district when quizzed on a change of leadership in the state.
So, as of now, Baghel remains saddled on the much coveted chair.
