New Delhi: The Delhi Police official Rajat Rathor, who went viral after singing the new version of Akshay Kumar’s song ‘Teri Mitti’ from 2019 film Kesari has earned praise for the actor himself. In the clip, Rathor was seen playing the guitar and singing softly in his melodious voice. “Teri Mitti –it’s not just a song for me it’s a feeling. My first viral video, after this I got so much appreciation. But I am still waiting for @akshaykumar sir’s response,” Rathore captioned the post.

Soon after Rathor posted the video, it quickly managed to assemble Akshay’s attention and the Akki of Bollywood praised Rathor’s melodious voice through a video message. In the clip, he was heard saying, “Hi Rajat, this is Akshay. Yaar kya kamal ka gaate ho tum. Bahut pyara gana gaya Teri Mitti, maza aa gaya sun kar. Yeh gana vaise hai bhi itna pyara ki ankhon mein se aansu nikal aate hain aur upar se teri awaaz bhi, usme itna dard hai. Beautiful yaar. (Hi Rajat, this is Akshay. You sung ‘Teri Mitti’ beautifully, I really enjoyed it. This song is so beautiful that after listening it one gets teary-eyed and your voice has so much pain in it. Beautiful friend).”

“And I can see that you are a uniform man, am I right? Lots of good wishes and respect for the work that you are doing. Keep doing good and keep up your talent. Well done,” he added. Rathor was left delighted after finally receiving a reply from Akshay. He left a comment under the clip saying, “Thank you so much for your wishes Sir. It means a lot when you say so! My mother and me are a big fan of yours. You just made our day. Thank u @akshaykumar.”

Earlier, Rathor has also sung a melody as a tribute to the country’s martyrs. Last month, he had posted another video in which he sang ‘Ae Watan’ from Raazi.
