New Delhi: Delhi deputy chief minister Manish Sisodia has been accused of corruption in connection with his new liquor policy in the Central Bureau of Investigation’s (CBI) FIR, reported NDTV.
Sisodia’s name figures as the first name on the 15-man accused list. The list also includes the officials of the excise department who are involved in the liquor policy which was implemented and scrapped in nine months’ time.
The charges against the accused are detailed in the 11-page document. All have been accused of criminal conspiracy and falsification, reported NDTV.
The accused’s list includes the then Excise Commissioner — Arva Gopi Krishna.
According to the FIR, Sisodia and the others were “instrumental in recommending and taking decisions pertaining to excise policy for the year 2021-22 without approval of competent authority with an intention to extend undue favours to the licencees post tender”.
The CBI raided Sisodia’s house on Friday morning.
