Kolkata: Over 288 more people have been infected with Covid-19 in West Bengal in the last 24 hours on Saturday, the West Bengal health department said. The Covid Positivity Rate in West Bengal stands at 2.42 per cent with no casualty in the last 24 hours.
A total of 21,207 people have lost their lives due to the deadly infection in the state. The total number of Covid infections is 20,21,555. In the last 24 hours, 69 people have been cured of the infection in the state. In all, 19,98,723 people have recovered from Covid infection in the state.
A further 79,992 people have been vaccinated in the state. So far, a total of 7 crore 25 lakh 40 thousand 895 people have been given the first dose of the vaccine while 6 crore 30 lakh 96 thousand 280 people took the second dose. A total of 32,80,407 people received booster doses in the state.
