London: India’s gold rush continued on Day 10 of the CWG 2022. Three pugilists — Nikhat Zareen (women’s light flyweight), Amit Panghal (men’s flyweight) and Nitu Ganghas (women’s minimumweight) — have bagged the yellow metals their respective finals.
India also made it 1-2 in the men’s triple jump, thanks to superb shows by Eldhose Paul (17.03m jump/gold) and Abdulla Aboobacker Narangolintevid (17.02 jump/silver). Annu Rani and Sandeep Kumar won bronze medals in the women’s javelin throw and men’s 10km race walk events, respectively.
Top Indian shuttlers Lakshya Sen and PV Sindhu have made the title round of men’s and women’s singles respectively. Kidambi Srikanth lost in the semi-final.
