FIR Against Mehbooba Mufti For ‘Communal’ Remark In Aryan Khan Case

New Delhi: A complaint was registered with Delhi Police against Mehbooba Mufti for her communal comment while reacting to the Aryan Khan rave party cruise drugs case. A lawyer filed the FIR on Monday.

Earlier in the day, ex-Jammu & Kashmir chief minister said that Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan’s son Aryan was being targeted because of his surname.

“Instead of making an example out of a Union minister’s son accused of killing four farmers, central agencies are after a 23-year-old simply because his surname happens to be Khan. Travesty of justice that Muslims are targeted to satiate the sadistic wishes of BJP’s core vote bank,” tweeted the Jammu and Kashmir People’s Democratic Party president.

The lawyer in his complaint stated that an FIR should be lodged against Mehbooba Mufti under Indian Penal Code’s various sections for “attempting to create enmity between communities”.

The complaint further stated that it was an “inciting statement which intends to create hatred and unrest among communities.”
