Mumbai: Former executive producer of Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions, Kshitij Prasad, was arrested last week, told before a court on Saturday that he was forced by the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) officials to falsely accuse actors Ranbir Kapoor, Arjun Rampal and Dino Morea.
Prasad had earlier claimed the NCB officials had forced him to accuse Karan Johar into the probe.
The agency denied all the accusations and stated that the investigation was carried out in a ‘professional manner’.
“I have been repeatedly harassed and coerced into falsely implicating Dino Morea, Arjun Rampal and Ranbir Kapoor in the present proceedings despite me repeatedly stating that I do not know the said persons and have no knowledge of such allegations”, said Prasad in an application on Saturday.
He complained that he was made to sign false statements prepared by NCB officials.
The NCB officials refuted Prasad’s allegations claiming that he was “totally non-cooperative, adamant and arrogant”.
“He was trying to bargain hard for putting his signature on the statement in lieu of removal of Section 27A of the NDPS Act”, said the NCB.
Prasad was in custody under NCB from September 27 to October 3.
The court sent him to jail till October 6 on Saturday.
