Mumbai: Tata Sons ex-chairman Cyrus Mistry died following a road accident in Palghar district, Maharashtra, on Sunday. The car he was travelling in hit a divider in Maharashtra’s Palghar district, the police said.
According to the cops, the Mercedes he was travelling in crashed into a divider close to Charoti on a bridge at around 3.15 pm. The car had four passengers, of which two, including Mistry, died on the spot.
The other deceased have been identified as Jahangir Binshah Pandol. The injured ones have been rushed to a hospital. It is learnt that Mistry was travelling from Ahmedabad to Mumbai when the accident occurred.
Mistry is survived by wife and two sons. According to one of his close family friends, Mistry’s family members are abroad to attend a function, reported The Indian Express.
