New Delhi: The Varanasi administration was ordered by the Supreme Court on Tuesday where the ‘Shivling’ (Lord Shiva’s symbol) was exactly found inside the Gyanvapi mosque in the Uttar Pradesh city.
The top court asked the administration during the hearing of the mosque committee’s petition that sought a direction to the authorities in Varanasi to stop the filming of the mosque complex, reported NDTV.
“Where exactly was the ‘Shivling’ found?” said Justice DY Chandrachud.
“We haven’t seen the report,” appearing for the Uttar Pradesh government, Solicitor General Tushar Mehta replied and sought time till Wednesday to come back to the court with details.
