London: It was only 12 hours ago that tennis legend Roger Federer bid a tearful farewell to the game at London’s O2 Arena, in which even his friend and fierce competitor Rafael Nadal got emotional. A few hours later, a similar scene was witnessed at cricket Mecca Lord’s, where women’s cricket legend Jhulan Goswami sported the Indian jersey for one last time drawing curtains to her illustrious international career spanning 20 years. Here Nadal’s role was played by Indian women’s cricket captain Harmanpreet Kaur.

Jhulan was honoured by the team before the match on Saturday. It was there that an emotional Harmanpreet was seen crying while embracing Jhulan tightly — a beautiful moment was created to be cherished for long time.

Also, Jhulan was seen on the side of the pitch with England skipper Amy Jones during the toss. Jhulan was given the honour to call for India one last time when Jones tossed the coin. Harmanpreet was standing next to her. However, India lost the toss and batted first on this day.

Michael Atherton interviewed Jhulan after the toss, where the host of the broadcasting channel wanted to know her feelings. Jhulan replied, “It’s not an emotion now. The main goal is to get down on the field and concentrate on the match.”

Here was full scope and stage two for him to be emotional But no, until you say goodbye to the playground, the player in you, doesn’t allow you emotional language Chakda Express gave that message once again.
