New Delhi: February 14, 2021 marks two years of the Pulwama terror attack when 40 valiant Indian soldiers were killed after a suicide bomber rammed an IED-laden vehicle into the security convoy carrying them. Pakistan-based terrorist group Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) had claimed responsibility for the cruel terror attack. The attack on the CRPF convoy took place in Jammu and Kashmir’s Pulwama district.
Paying tribute to the 40 CRPF personnel who lost their lives in the 2019 Pulwama terror attack, Union Home Minister Amit Shah said on Sunday India will never forget their exceptional courage and supreme sacrifice.
“I bow down to the brave martyrs who lost their lives in the gruesome Pulwama attack on this day in 2019. India will never forget their exceptional courage and supreme sacrifice,” Shah tweeted today.
Senior BJP leaders, including the party’s national president JP Nadda, Karnataka Chief Minister BS Yediyurappa, and Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan also paid tribute to the soldiers. Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Aditaynath and other BJP leaders also paid tribute to the martyred jawans.
“I pay homage to those brave soldiers personnel who sacrificed their lives in the 2019 Pulwama terror attack. India will never forget their service to the nation and their supreme sacrifice. We continue to stand with their families, who had to suffer due to this attack,” Rajnath Singh tweeted on Sunday.
“To the immortal sacrifices of Pulwama attack who sacrificed their all for our safe future.Their sacrifice will always inspire us to fight against terrorism. Jai Hind,” UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath tweeted.
Also, Prime Minister Narendra Modi too paid homage to those who lost their lives in the incident. He said, “No Indian can forget this day. Two years ago, the #PulwamaAttack happened. We pay homage to all the martyrs we lost in that attack. We are proud of our security forces. Their bravery will continue to inspire generations,” while addressing a gathering at Jawaharlal Stadium in Chennai, news agency ANI reported.
