ICC T20 World Cup: Warner & Marsh Lead Australia To Maiden Title

Dubai: An unbeaten innings from Mitchell Marsh (77 not out off 50 balls) assisted by a crucial fifty-plus from David Warner (53 off 38 balls) led Australia to their maiden ICC T20 World Cup trophy.

En route, they got the better of New Zealand by eight wickets in the final at the Dubai International Stadium here on Sunday evening.

Put into bat, Kane Williamson scored a flawless 48-ball 85 as New Zealand coasted to 172/4 after their allotted 20 overs.

Chasing 173, Australia achieved the target losing just two wickets with seven deliveries to spare.
