Kolkata: Bengal U-19 left-arm fast bowler Ravi Kumar has been picked to represent India in the upcoming ICC Under-19 Men’s Cricket World Cup to be held in the West Indies.
Another Bengal player Amrit Raj Upadhyay has also been drafted in as stand by for the tournament.
“Ravi is a very talented cricketer. He has been performing consistently for the team. His selection is a recognition of his consistency and talent. I am confident that he will do well in days to come and will make Bengal and India proud with his performance. I wish him the very best,” said CAB president Avishek Dalmiya was quoted as saying in a press release.
