New Delhi: With 4,08,323 new COVID-19 cases reported till 11 pm on Friday, April 30, India became the world’s first country to register over 4 lakh infections in the last 24 hours. As many as 3,464 new deaths were also recorded on the day.
Among the states, Maharashtra reported 62,919 fresh case, followed by Karnataka (48,296), and Kerala (37,199).
Maharashtra also reported 828 casualties, followed by Delhi (375) and Uttar Pradesh (332). The country has so far reported a total of 1,91,63,488 Covid-19 cases and 2,11,778 fatalities.
