Beijing: ‘Mission mollycoddling the Taliban’ by Pakistan continues and the country infamous for fomenting terrorism on India’s soil, expects the Narendra Modi-dispensation to play a positive role in the Taliban-controlled Afghanistan.
In an interview with the state-run The Global Times, Pakistan ambassador to China, Moin ul Haque said that “they (Pakistan) expect India to play a positive and constructive role” in Afghanistan, reports the Hindustan Times.
“In the past, India has acted as a spoiler and worked against peace in Afghanistan. In fact, any effort of the regional countries should be aimed at stabilising the situation with a view to ease the sufferings of the Afghan people,” Haque said as part of his government’s endeavour to cement the hardliners’ authority in the embattled country.
