Mumbai: England will feature in 12 international matches — four Tests, three One-day Internationals, and five Twenty20s — on their India sojourn in February-March next year.
Ahmedabad will host seven of those, which include a pink ball day-night Test. All the matches will be played at only three centres — Chennai and Pune are the others — and in the bio-secure environment due to Corona pandemic, it was announced by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) on Thursday.
Before the tour to India, England will tour Sri Lanka for a two-Test series.
India are also scheduled to travel to England in August-September 2021 to play a five-Test series. The Tests are scheduled to be played at Trent Bridge, Nottingham (August 4-8), Lord’s (August 12-16), Headingley, Leeds (August 25-29), the Kia Oval, London (September 2-6) and Old Trafford, Manchester (September 10-14), according to news agency IANS.
