New Delhi: Teenaged shooters from India continued their superb form in the ISSF World Cup here on Monday by bagging gold medals in both the 10m air pistol and 10m air rifle events.
The 18-year-old Saurabh Chaudhary and 19-year-old Manu Bhaker clinched the 10m air pistol mixed team gold medal as the hosts consolidated their position on top of the overall tally.
Saurabh and Manu got the better of Iran’s Golnoush Sebhatollahi and Javed Foroughi 16-12 to give India its fifth gold in the World Cup. It was Saurabh and Manu’s fifth World Cup mixed team gold medal.
Earlier, Divyansh Singh Panwar, 18, and 21-year-old Elavenil Valarivan teamed up to claim the 10m mixed air rifle gold. The India pair tamed Hungary’s numero uno duo of Istvan Peni and Eszter Denes.
