New Delhi: Rahul Gandhi launched a fresh attack at PM Modi regarding the purchase of two VVIP planes that will be used by the PM, President and Vice President.
Gandhi shared a video clip where several soldiers could be heard talking about how dangerous it was to send people in non-bulletproof trucks.
“Our jawans are being sent in non-bullet proof trucks to be martyred…and for the PM a Rs 8,400 crore aircraft. Is this justice?”, he captioned the tweet.
हमारे जवानों को नॉन-बुलेट प्रूफ़ ट्रकों में शहीद होने भेजा जा रहा है और PM के लिए 8400 करोड़ के हवाई जहाज़!
क्या यह न्याय है? pic.twitter.com/iu5iYWVBfE

“Even BP cars cannot keep people safe…and they’re taking us on non-BP (vehicles). They’re playing with our lives,” one of the individuals could be heard saying, adding that even if someone threw stones the walls of the vehicle they were in would be broken.
At the end, the person is seen appearing on screen, taking the video and alleging that the senior officials would take bulletproof vehicle but the team was given non-BP vehicles.
Recently, Gandhi had been repeatedly attacking the NDA government over the purchases, pointing that similar amount could be used to buy many necessary things for the armed forces at the Siachen-Ladakh border.
“PM bought a plane worth ₹ 8,400 crore for himself. In this amount, how many things could be purchased for our soldiers posted on the Siachen-Ladakh border. Warm clothes: 30,00,000. Jacket, gloves: 60,00,000. Shoes: 67,20,000 Oxygen cylinder: 16,80,000,” he earlier stated.
