Mumbai: The woman who claimed to have met the ‘murdered’ Sheena Bora in Kashmir six months ago has agreed to record her statement before Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI).
The prime accused in the murder case, Sheena’s mother Indrani Mukherjea, recently wrote to the CBI saying that she had met a woman in prison who made the sensational claim of meeting Sheena.
“I’ve been informed by my client Indrani Mukherjea that a lady officer has informed her that she met Sheena Bora on June 24 near Dal Lake. This officer is ready to record her statement before CBI. We’ll file an application to direct CBI to conduct a fair probe,” Sana R Khan, Indrani’s lawyer, was quoted as saying by news agency ANI.
In the letter to the CBI, Indrani referred to the female prisoner as a ‘female government official’.
