Muslim Man Assaulted In Kanpur, Forced To Chant Jai Shri Ram

Kanpur: Minority bashing in Yogi Adityanath’s Uttar Pradesh continues to wreak havoc. Read on, a 45-year-old Muslim man was beaten up, paraded and coerced into singing Jai Shri Ram in Kanpur on Thursday, according to NDTV.

The despicable incident took place near a Bajrang Dal meeting venue held to protest against the forcible conversion of a Hindu girl. Cops have booked the owner of a band, his son and 10 unidentified persons as complained by the assaulted man whose family is fighting a case against its Hindu neighbours.

Distressing visuals of the helpless man’s daughter pleading with his father’s assaulters have gone viral. The man was not even spared inside the police custody.

“I was driving my e-rickshaw around 3 pm when the accused started abusing and assaulting me and threatening to kill me and my family. I got saved because of the police,” the e-rickshaw driver complained, reported NDTV. He has not spoken to the media as yet.
