New Delhi: Finally, it’s all peace on the Punjab front. Yes, miffed state Congress President Navjot Singh Sidhu has withdrawn his resignation and is amid a couple of weeks-long drama that unfolded.
Sidhu who met senior Congress leader Rahul Gandhi on Friday was quoted by India Today as saying, “I shared all my concerns with Rahul Gandhi. Everything has been sorted out.”
Harish Rawat, All India Congress Committee’s in-charge for Punjab, added “He [Sidhu] shared his concerns with Rahul Gandhi. We have told him that his concerns will be taken care of here. He assured Rahul Gandhi that he has withdrawn his resignation and he will resume his duties as the Punjab Pradesh Congress Committee President.”
So, all is well that ends well.
