Nitish Kumar Refutes Speculations He Is In Running For PM Post

New Delhi: Bihar chief minister Nitish Kumar has rubbished all speculations that he is in contention for the PM’s post contradicting his colleague KC Tyagi’s endorsement that ‘he is PM material.’

“Forgive me….During the meeting, several other topics came up for discussion. If somebody says something on any topic, it should not be regarded as the party’s official statement. It was a party meeting and there were several things that were discussed,” Kumar who is in alliance with the BJP in Bihar, was quoted by Republic World.

JD (U) general secretary Tyagi created quite a flutter when he ostensibly dropped enough hints that Kumar could be in the running for the coveted post held by Narendra Modi despite being allies in NDA. Tyagi’s zealous view drew flak from his alliance partners who took offence to his statement.

As of now, the impending threat to the camaraderie seems to have died down but you never know.
