New Delhi: Not a single out of the 78 passengers evacuated by India on Tuesday has tested Covid positive. “Some people have tested positive for the infection. However, there is no clarity on their count,” Puneet Singh Chandhok, president of the Indian World Forum had stated earlier according to Times Now.
The Union Health Ministry had on Monday issued a memorandum stating, “Any person testing positive or detected as symptomatic shall be shifted to dedicated Covid Care Centre or Covid hospital of NCT of Delhi and also people arriving from Afghanistan will have to mandatorily undergo a minimum 14-day institutional quarantine at the ITBP facility.”
On Monday, two persons out of the 146 reaching Delhi from Afghanistan turned Covid positive.
