New Delhi: Bhim Army chief, Chandrashekhar Azad, one of the protestors in Delhi’s Jantar Mantar, said that there is no hope for justice for the gangrape victim of Hathras until and unless Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister, Yogi Adityanath, resigns and the responsibility of the case is taken by Supreme Court.
“The Hathras victim cannot get justice till UP CM resigns and the Supreme Court takes cognizance of the issue. These kinds of culprits should be punished as soon as possible so that others get scared before committing such crimes”, he addressed the protesters.
“We will go to Hathras and till the time the matter doesn’t come to Delhi, there is no chance of getting justice”, he added.
Students, activists, members of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) and the Left parties protested at the Jantar Mantar on Friday evening against the Hathras gangrape, which left the nation shocked heartbroken.
Protestors raised slogans while wearing masks to demand the resignation of Yogi Adityanath and demanded justice for the rape victim.
