To call Nushrratt Bharuccha one of the most versatile actresses in Bollywood, would not be wishful thinking. Time and again, she has lived up to the demand of the script and won laurels as an actress.
The pretty lady has Hansal Mehta’s Amazon Prime Video’s movie Chhalaang coming up and one can rest assured, it will be a total joy ride. Set in a small town in Haryana, Nushrratt is carrying the simple North Indian look with grace. The film is set to release during Diwali.
However, Nushrratt put in a lot of diligence to be able to get into the skin of her character Neelu. In a recent interview when asked about the difficulty she faced while playing Neelu, she said, “I’ve not done a film like this, I’ve never done a small-town girl, speaking Haryanvi. I’m born and brought up in Bombay so it was a stressful point for me.”
Nushrratt slogged hard for the Haryanvi dialect, and was always seen lip-synching to a Punjabi song from the movie that was recently released. She has pulled off both effortlessly – an evidence of the sincerity she has applied to romp home with grace.
The film sees a fresh pairing of Nushrratt and Rajkummar Rao. They share excellent rapport on screen and the audiences have reasons enough to look forward to the two. After Chhalaang, Nushrratt has Hurdang, opposite Sunny Kaushal and Vijay Verma.
