Islamabad: Former Pakistan cricket skipper Ramiz Raja has been reportedly nominated for the post of the PCB chairman by none other than Prime Minister Imran Khan. Confirming the news, Raja said that an official announcement was on the cards following which he would be eligible to contest for the prestigious job, according to Dawn.com.
Meanwhile, Ehsan Mani has already stepped down as the PCB Chairman. The Prime Minister reportedly held meetings with both Raja and Mani earlier this week. Sources have revealed that Khan wanted Mani to discontinue as the PCB chief though the latter was unwilling.
Khan is likely to approve both Mani and Raja to the Board of Governors necessary for a go at the post of the PCB Chairman.
