New Delhi: If you thought the decks were all cleared for political strategist Prashant Kishor to join Congress, his latest tweet that apparently takes a dig at the Grand Old Party is a spoiler.
Criticising the Opposition parties led by Congress (GOP) over their rat race to bring the culprits of the Lakhimpur Kheri violence case to book, Kishor wrote, “People looking for quick, spontaneous revival of GOP led opposition based on #LakhimpurKheri incident are setting themselves up for big disappoint ” And he added, “Unfortunately there are no quick fix solutions to the deep-rooted problems and the the structural weakness of GOP.”
Since the incident broke out on Sunday, political parties especially the ones against BJP have been making a beeline to meet the families of the deceased. Smelling an opportunity to corner the BJP governments both in the Centre and state, aggressive campaigns to create a united front against BJP seems to have boomeranged with absolute lack of unity among the parties indulging in slugfest to make political capital.
People looking for a quick, spontaneous revival of GOP led opposition based on #LakhimpurKheri incident are setting themselves up for a big disappoinment.
Unfortunately there are no quick fix solutions to the deep-rooted problems and structural weakness of GOP.
