New Delhi: Transparency is the key to governance and Prime Minister Narendra Modi seems to abide by it religiously. With the turmoil caused by the Taliban takeover set to tread a path of uncertainty in Afghanistan, Modi has instructed the ministry of external affairs to update all floor leaders on the government’s measures. The meeting will take place on Thursday, August 26.
Foreign minister S Jaishankar had earlier tweeted, “In view of developments in Afghanistan, PM has instructed that MEA brief Floor Leaders of political parties. Minister of Parliamentary Affairs Prahlad Joshi will be intimating further details.”
Meanwhile Joshi tweeted to confirm the date of briefing by Jaishankar at the Main Committee Room, PHA, New Delhi.

India has already evacuated more than 400 stranded citizens as well as some Afghan MPs and commoners. The government is leaving no stones unturned to ensure that not a single Indian is affected by the Taliban insurgency.
We will buy that!
