New Delhi: Protesting farmers stopped Bollywood actor Kangana Ranaut’s car in Punjab’s Kiratpur Sahib on Friday. The farmers sought an apology for her remarks against farmers who had been protesting against the Centre’s controversial farm laws which were repealed this week.
An ardent supporter of the ruling BJP, Ranaut had supported the laws, frequently labelling the thousands of farmers camped out on the borders of Delhi for over a year as terrorists, Khalistanis and “anti-social elements”.
Ranaut was passing through the area with her security convoy when her car was halted by protesters waving flags and shouting slogans.
