New Delhi: Amid protests from India, the UK has revised its travel policy to include Covishield as an approved vaccine for travellers from India.
NDTV quoted Updated UK guidelines saying, “Formulations of the four listed vaccines, such as AstraZeneca Covishield, AstraZeneca Vaxzevria and Modern Takeda, qualify as approved vaccines.”
NDTV adds, “However, according to a UK High Commission statement yesterday, its government is “working with India to expand recognition of vaccine certification.”
This means Indians vaccinated with two doses of Covishield will still have to quarantine despite India being on the Amber list which proves UK’s disapproval of vaccine certificates in India.
