New Delhi: Top Indian shuttler PV Sindhu lifted her second women’s singles crown of the season after she registered a straight-game win over Thailand’s Busanan Ongbamrungphan final at the Swiss Open Super 300 badminton tournament in Basel on Sunday. Sindhu won 21-16 21-8.
Another Indian HS Prannoy, however, went down fighting in the men’s singles final. Prannoy lost 12-21 18-21 against Asian Games gold medallist and fourth seed Jonatan Christie of Indonesia in a 48-minute affair to finish runner-up.
