Rahul Gandhi borrows Albert Einstein quote to slam Center

New Delhi: Congress leader Rahul Gandhi continued his criticism on the Central government over the COVID-19 crisis, this time using the famous scientist Albert Einstein’s quote to condemn the nationwide lockdown. He has been attacking the government ever since a nationwide lockdown was announced in March to break the chain of transmission.

Rahul tweeted a graph which shows the state of the economy and the number of fatalities at the start of March. The live graph then shows the drastic fall in economy and high rise in fatalities during the lockdown period. “This lock down proves that: ‘The only thing more dangerous than ignorance is arrogance.’ Albert Einstein,” read his twitter post.

India is the fourth worst-hit nation by the pandemic with the Coronavirus tally soaring up to 3.32 lakh cases on Monday (June 15). The Union Health Ministry informed Monday morning that more than 11,000 new cases were recorded for the third consecutive day. Meanwhile, the number of recoveries has outnumbered positive cases.

Last week, Rahul tweeted: “India is firmly on its way to winning the wrong race. A horrific tragedy, resulting from a lethal blend of arrogance and incompetence.”
