New Delhi: Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) supremo Sharad Pawar called on Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray at his residence as another Shiv Sena MLA switched to the rebel camp in Guwahati on Friday. It is already that the rebel camp has enough numbers to wrest control.
Sharad Pawar, along with Deputy CM Ajit Pawar, state cabinet minister Jayant Patil and NCP leader Praful Patel met Uddhav Thackeray at ‘Matoshree’ in the Mumbai suburbs in the evening.
Earlier in the day, an emotional Uddhav Thackeray told Sena workers at a party meet that the rebel leaders were “trying to break” the party. “Why would I feel bad about those who have left? Without using the names of Shiv Sena and Thackeray, how will you move ahead,” Thackeray was quoted as saying by NDTV.
