Kolkata: West Bengal BJP president Dilip Ghosh has been replaced as the state unit chief at a time when a string of switchovers to the ruling Trinamool Congress recently.
The saffron party appointed Sukanta Majumdar as its West Bengal unit president on Monday, while Dilip Ghosh was appointed the national vice-president.
As many as three members of the Legislative Assembly and a Parliamentarian have left the party to join the state’e ruling party since the Assembly Election results in May. It may be recalled that the Mamata Banerjee-led party registered a thumping victory in the Assembly Elections 2021.
