Syed Mushtaq Ali T20: Bengal Win By 7 Wickets

Guwahati: Bengal defeated Chhattisgarh by 7 seven wickets in the opening match of the Group B of the Syed Mushtaq Ali T20 Trophy here on Thursday.

In reply to Chhattisgarh’s 118 for seven, Bengal coasted home losing just three wickets with three overs to spare.

Bengal skipper Sudip Chatterjee top-scored with an unbeaten 51. “It feels good to start the tournament on a good note. We have played well as a team that’s what important, we have done well in both departments. We are approaching in one match at a time manner, now our aim is to do good in next match,” Chatterjee was quoted as saying in a CAB release.

“Our bowlers did a wonderful job. Spinners chocked the run flow and helped us restrict opponents to a low total,” the Bengal skipper added.
